Shaking it up!

Last morning we added milkshakes to our shelves at West Street, made with fresh fruit and Our Cow Molly milk and ice cream. They went down a treat and before we knew it we were getting requests for extra flavours on Twitter!

Master Cutlers Challenge 2014 - the results

With the 2014 Master’s Cutlers Challenge complete PJ taste can be satisfied with our first year’s entry.  We were winners of the Media Mastery Award for highlighting the value of the cause but more importantly raised £1495.26 for the twin charities of Whirlow Hall Farm Trust and Sheffield Hospitals Charity.  Special mention to our member of staff Julie who raised the largest single amount at £588 for her sponsored swim.  Some facts from our Master Cutler journey below:

Apologies to my allotment

Late summer into Autumn is such a time of wild food riches that my poor allotment suffers a certain neglect.  Sure I still fly down but only for a quick harvesting raid – deprive the bees of some borage flowers, pick courgettes and if lucky some courgette flowers.  Perhaps gather some blackberries from the path on the way down, and grab some elderberries from the old gnarled tree in the allotment corner, pluck some onions and pull some of the seemingly perpetual rhubarb stems.
